You Can Fix the “Private Connection” Error!

If you are receiving an error message that “Your Connection is Not Private” message on your BSO laptop, you need to follow the 8 steps below ASAP.

Note #1: These steps must be done in Firefox. Chrome will not allow all of the steps to take place.

Note #2: When you run into the message below, select “Advanced” then “Accept the Risk and Continue”.

Note #3: You only have to do these steps once.


8 Steps to Success!

Step 1. Download this file ( LightSpeedFix ) by right-clicking the filename and clicking “Save Link As…” from the menu that appears.


Step 2. In the Next Window that appears, click the “Save” button.


Step 3. After the file downloads, click the Download icon (#1 below), then click the Folder icon (#2) below.


Step 4. In the next window that appears, right-click on the file “LightSpeedFix.zip”, then select “Extract All…” from the menu that appears.


Step 5. In the next window that appears, right-click on the file “replace_certs” and select “Run as administrator” from the menu that appears.


Step 6. In the next window that appears, enter the following password then click “Yes”: 6D083rtyB0yz* (those are zeroes)


Step 7. A black window will appear for about 15 seconds, then disappear. You don’t have to anything on this step.

Step 8. You’re done! Close Firefox and open up Chrome and you’re good to go.
